The Land Rover In Action Exhibition
As the Land Rover In Action Exhibition draws to a close, we can look back on an event which showcased some of the most important conservation and humanitarian projects going on all over Our Planet. From across the world, these inspirational organisations have been brought together by Land Rover at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) in London.
The exhibition features the vital work of Land Rover’s global partners: The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), Earthwatch, the Red Cross, The Born Free Foundation, Biosphere Expeditions and the China Exploration & Research Society (CERS). Click on the images for more information.
The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) (with the Institute of British Geographers) supports geographical learning for global citizens in a rapidly changing world.
Earthwatch Institute is an international environmental charity that supports scientific field research around the world. Land Rover supports Earthwatch through the provision of vehicle support on numerous projects.
Land Rover’s association with the Red Cross also goes back a long way. In 1954, Land Rover supplied a long-wheelbase Series 1 to the British Red Cross for use in Dubai as a mobile dispensary.
After 30 years of collaboration, Born Free became a Global Environmental Sponsorship Partner in 2002. Land Rover provide vehicle support in countries including: Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
Biosphere Expeditions is an award-winning, not-for-profit organisation running wildlife expeditions for people wishing to do something active and altruistic in conservation.
Founded by legendary Chinese explorer and conservationist, Wong How Man, the China Exploration and Research Society CERS is active in preserving fragile environments and endangered wildlife.
